Replacement Camshaft Angle Sensor
These sensors are located in the cylinder head near the top of the oil dipstick.
We are seeing more issues with these sensors with the main issue being that they lose their magnetism or have broken down internally. This in turn prevents the ECU from reading the camshaft angle and therefore does not operate the variable valve timing (VVT). Without the VVT operating the engine performance is drastically reduced as you can see by the graph shown in the second image.
