Lightweight steel billet flywheel and Clutch Packages. ** Includes slave cylinder. **

A lightweight steel billet flywheel to replace the STD (OEM) dual mass flywheel. Designed around the improved R26.R clutch that has approx. 20% more torque capacity. This package will fit the R26.R and all previous models of Megane RS 225 and 230 (R26).

You have options of an OEM R26.R clutch which has around 20% more torque capacity than the usual Megane 225 or 230 (R26) clutches, or you can choose from an Uprated 5 Puck Paddle disc to increase the torque capacity further.

Please note - The paddle disc is aimed at high powered street or track day cars. Although it can handle more torque the material can cause slight clutch judder on take off and have shorter life expectancy.

The purpose of a lightened flywheel is to improve the engines response creating a faster revving engine. It is fully CNC machined and dynamically balanced to retain engine smoothness. The original flywheels weigh in just over 12.8KG and the lightened version comes in at 7.8KG, that's just under a 40% weight saving!

This package is a direct replacement and retains all original fixtures and fittings. It is becoming a popular conversion due to the troublesome STD dual mass items and a worthy upgrade if you are changing your clutch or building a performance engine.

Q) I have a Megane 225, does this package fit my car?
A) Yes, it is a full replacement kit.

Q) I have a Megane F1 R26, is this the same clutch?
A) No, Renault produced a late model R26.R which this clutch comes from. The clutch and flywheel is different, hence you need the full kit to fit in previous models i.e. Megane 225, 230 R26.

Q) Im hoping to achieve circa 400 BHP, will this clutch be good enough?
A) Clutches are rated in torque, so it would largely depend on the torque curve of your engine. The internet rates the OEM Organic R26.R clutch to around 360 ft lb of torque. We would suggest circa 310 ft lb measured on our dyno, so its a matter of what numbers you genuinely have? On that note we say the paddle plate offers 40 - 50 ft lb more torque capacity.

* Please note that on some late model ECU's the flywheel can occasionally trigger a DTC code and put the engine management light on. Although this has no effect on the running of the vehicle, we can program this out free of charge when we are fitting the package or for a small fee if previously fitted. If your ECU is tuner locked by another party there will be an extra fee to initially unlock the ECU before programming. *
